Hi everyone! I’m so excited to be taking part in Blogmas this year. Fingers crossed I don’t miss any days! To start, I wanted to share a few gift ideas for the photographers in your life. These items range in price and cover everything from gear to classes. Read on!

There’s a good chance you’ve heard of (and love!) the photo editing app, A Color Story, by A Beautiful Mess. But did you know they have a desktop version of many of their filters? These actions and presets would make a great gift for the photographers in your life who love photo editing, or for those friends who want to take A Color Story to the next level.
CreativeLive Classes ($0 and up)
CreativeLive has some of the best online courses I’ve ever taken. And as an added bonus, they air many courses for free every day, which is a great way to preview a class before buying it, or to take it for free without having lifetime access. And they don’t just have photography classes. They also have courses covering crafts/DIY, life, music, and more! I really can’t recommend them enough.
Okay, so the price of this made my jaw drop too, but I wanted to include it anyway. We can all dream, right? I received the 5D Mark III as a gift last year and I absolutely love it, so I can only assume the newer 5D Mark IV is just as great, if not better. If you can swing it financially (jealous!), I think it would make an incredible gift!
Clickin Moms Membership ($10/month, $60/year, or $195 for life)
I’m a proud Lifetime Member of Clickin Moms, and I absolutely love it. It’s a forum with tutorials, tips, tricks, advice, Q&As with pros, photo critiques, member gifts, and heaps of support from kind photographers at all levels. And no, you don’t have to be a mom to join. I’m not one!
Lensbaby Velvet 56 ($449.95 – $499.95)
This is another item I received as a gift in the past, and it’s one of my favorite lenses. It takes such gorgeous pictures with, as the name suggests, a velvety look. The soft blur gets less apparent as your aperture gets smaller, so it’s also incredibly versatile. I love this lens and think it’s totally worth the price.
I hope this gift guide gives you an idea or two of what you could get for your photographer friends – or for yourself! And if you’re into photography, I’d love to hear what’s on your wish list this year. Let me know in the comments!
Merry Blogmas! I’ll see you all tomorrow for day 2!
