Hi everyone! It’s time for another belated monthly favorites! Keep reading to see what I was loving in February!
Makeup, Skincare, and Bath
Drunk Elephant Protini Polypeptide Cream
I’ve been loving Drunk Elephant products lately, and this moisturizer is the latest addition to my collection. It’s very hydrating without feeling heavy, and is suitable for all skin types. I love how it gives my skin an instant glow without looking greasy.
Zoella Beauty Soak Opera
I was so excited when some nearby Target stores started selling Soak Opera! I’ve been wanting to try it for a long time but never got around to ordering it, so when it was available in stores, I picked it up right away. I love using it as a bubble bath/bath soak. It has the perfect amount of scent, and leaves my skin feeling soft and silky, but never greasy or sticky. Love it!
L’Oreal Paris True Match Lumi Glotion
This was an impulse purchase that I ended up loving! It can be used under makeup to give your whole face a glow, but I prefer using it as a super subtle highlighter. It’s super silky and blendable, and really does feel like a lotion that just happens to have some glow to it.
Physicians Formula Bronze Booster
I heard about this bronzer palette from one of YouTuber Allana Davison’s videos (allanaramaa on YouTube). She mentioned that the middle color was a bit grayish, which I know is basically the opposite of a bronzer for most people, but typical bronzers are always too orange/yellow/brown for me. So I thought I’d give this a shot, and I ended up loving it! It blends well, feels silky soft, and adds just the right amount of color to my skin – especially for contouring. If you’re super fair and have never had luck with bronzers, I definitely recommend this one!
Pixi H20 Skintint
I tried this on a whim at Target and loved how it was so sheer yet still evened out my skin just slightly. I’ve been wearing it a ton, and love using it on days when I’m happy with how my skin is looking. It looks a bit dark before putting it on, but it blends out to a great, sheer, light shade.
Glossier Balm Dotcom in Rose and Mint
You all probably know by now that I’m loving Glossier at the moment. The Original Balm Dotcom is still my overall favorite of the flavors I’ve tried, but this month I’ve also been loving the Rose and Mint flavors. Rose adds a subtle pink tint to my lips, and Mint feels fresh and slightly tingly. I can’t get enough of this stuff!
Bullseye’s Playground Products from Target
Bullseye’s Playground is what was formerly “The One Spot” at Target. I’m guessing it was renamed because they now have products that range in price, but are all still super affordable. Target is really on a roll lately with this section of the store! I picked up these two notepads and this blush pink faux leather tray, and have been getting a ton of use out of them! I’m guessing those of you who shop at Target never skip this section of the store, but if you tend to pass it by, give it a glance. There are some really great items!
Celebrity Big Brother (U.S.)
I had been so excited for CBBUS since they announced it during the BB19 finale last summer. And when I saw that one of my favorite people ever, Ross Mathews, was in the cast, I was even more excited. I loved that it was a season (albeit a short one) without showmances or people just trying to be famous on Instagram. With the exception of Metta (who was hilarious, I’ll give him that), pretty much everyone came to play. It was honestly the best season of BB here in the U.S. in years, and I hope they cast similar types for BB20. I was super disappointed and annoyed that Ross didn’t win because of yet another bitter jury, but it was still a great season overall. At least Ross won America’s Favorite!
iZombie Season 4
Season 4 of iZombie premiered on February 26th, so I was just barely able to include it in this month’s favorites. I absolutely love this show, and it’s as hilarious as ever. As someone who lives in Seattle and knows what diehard Seahawks fans are like, I thought the premiere was hysterically funny. If you haven’t watched this show yet, give it a try. I seriously haven’t talked to a single person who tried it and didn’t enjoy it.
Vanderpump Rules Season 6
Ah, my guiltiest pleasure TV show. This season, like past seasons, has been full of drama, tears, fights, and some hilarious moments like “it’s not about the pasta!” and Jax casually saying “you can come help me” when he thought he was going to drown. It’s such an entertaining show. If you’re looking for some light entertainment, this is a great option for that!
That sums up my favorites from February! What were you all loving last month? Let me know in the comments!
